Since 1949, the Alabama Association of School Boards has served education leaders and the interests of local decision making in public education and has enjoyed 100 percent membership for a number of years. The association is supported by membership dues and proceeds from board training and association services. AASB’s mission is to develop excellent school board leaders through quality training, advocacy and services.

The Georgia Vision Project began in 2009 as a collaboration between the Georgia School Superintendents Association and the Georgia School Boards Association. These groups realized an urgent need to critically examine the components of Georgia’s educational system, identifying an exciting opportunity to establish principles and offer recommendations which will transform the current system into one that is relevant for today’s children and youth. To date, The Project has grown to include over 50 partner organizations, agencies and groups.

Madison-Oneida Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) was created in 1968 by joining two neighboring BOCES. Since then, Madison-Oneida BOCES has remained committed to the original intent of the law establishing BOCES: to provide cost-effective, educationally-focused programs that allow school districts to conserve resources while expanding opportunities for students.
The Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) is a private, not-for profit organization that exists to help local school boards succeed. MSBA serves as the unified voice of school board members throughout the state and provides board member training, comprehensive policy support, legal assistance, superintendent search guidance, and other services designed to allow school boards to put maximum resources in the classroom. MSBA’s Center for Education Safety is the only organization in Missouri supporting school safety and security.
The Montana School Boards Association is a private non-profit membership organization that was first founded nearly 90 years ago through the efforts and interests of volunteer elected trustees from throughout the state of Montana. MTSBA’s Core Purpose is to maximize the potential of each child in Montana’s public schools through school board leadership.
The North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) is the professional organization that represents local boards of education in North Carolina. It is a member-driven association that supports the school governance team—school board members, superintendents, senior administrative staff and board assistants—in its complex leadership role. We help develop, communicate and advocate for the perspective of North Carolina school districts.
The Rhode Island Association of School Committees (RIASC) is a non-profit organization located on Rhode Island College Campus. RIASC is dedicated to developing the effectiveness of Rhode Island School Committee members in meeting their role and responsibilities in promoting Student Achievement in safe and challenging learning environments, while playing a leading role in shaping and advocating public education policy at the local, state, and national levels.
